Password-hash disclosure via unrestricted settings lookup
Published Sep 22, 2025 · Updated Sep 23, 2025
Information disclosure in the 2wcom IP-4c 2.15.5 web interface allows remote authenticated users to retrieve account password hashes. The get_data.php endpoint accepts password-setting names in POST parameters and returns the corresponding admin, manager, and guest hashes without restricting low-privileged sessions. A guest session is sufficient; the exposed hashes permit offline cracking, while administrative access still depends on recovering a password.
