Remote code execution in Sound4 PULSE-ECO AES67 1.22 allows remote attackers to run root commands through a malicious firmware package. The updater trusts an attacker-recomputed MD5 value and executes the package's modified manual.sh script as root without secure signature validation. Access to the web management firmware-upload function is required, and successful exploitation permits persistent device modification.
