CVE-2025-57352Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Prototype pollution via inherited namespace property deletion

Published Sep 24, 2025 · Updated Sep 24, 2025

Prototype pollution in min-document 2.19.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter inherited object properties via crafted namespace names. The removeAttributeNS method indexes its _attributes object with an untrusted namespace, so proto resolves to the prototype object and the requested property is deleted from it. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled namespace and attribute names; the demonstrated consequence is deletion of Object.prototype.toString, which can disrupt application behavior.
