Root access via embedded default credentials

Authentication weakness in H3C Magic NX15 firmware NX15V100R015 allows remote attackers to obtain root access with default credentials. The firmware image's /etc/shadow file defines the root account without a password and the H3C account with an MD5-crypt hash for the password "admin." Exploitation requires network reachability to an administrative interface or another login service and unchanged factory credentials; successful login grants full device control.
