Unauthenticated command execution via shared encryption keys
Published Sep 15, 2025 · Updated Sep 15, 2025
Command injection in Siklu Communications EtherHaul 8010TX and 1200FX firmware 7.4.0 through 10.7.3 allows remote attackers to execute commands. The TCP port 555 rfpiped service decrypts command packets with an AES-256 key and predictable initialization vector embedded identically in device binaries, without authenticating the sender. Network access to the service is sufficient to run privileged CLI commands, including creating an administrative account, and compromise the device.
