Unauthenticated database access via unsanitized patient parameter
Published Jun 6, 2025 · Updated Jun 9, 2025
SQL injection in appointment.php in SourceCodester Open Source Clinic Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or alter records. The appointment handler inserts the patient POST parameter directly into an SQL query without validation, escaping, or parameter binding. No authentication is required; the demonstrated time-based blind query provides indirect disclosure through response delays, while injected SQL can alter records.
