Memory corruption via freed mesh vector access
Published Oct 31, 2025 · Updated Oct 31, 2025
Heap use-after-free in Kitware VTK through 9.5.0 allows attackers to trigger invalid heap access via a malformed GLTF mesh file. During mesh object copying, vtkGLTFDocumentLoader accesses vector members after their backing memory has been freed when mesh references are corrupted or invalid. Reachability requires a consuming application to process such GLTF data; the public record establishes memory corruption but does not specify a crash or code-execution outcome.
