Unauthenticated denial of service via oversized gstUp parameter
Published Sep 9, 2025 · Updated Sep 9, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda G3 firmware 3.0br_V15.11.0.17 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted request. The guestWifiRuleRefresh function processes an oversized gstUp request parameter beyond the bounds of its stack buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required; public material limits the reported consequence to denial of service without specifying a hang, process exit, or reboot.
