Authenticated OS command execution via subscription handlers
Published Jun 5, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Command injection in the FLIR AX8 Backend in firmware 1.46.0 through 1.46.16 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands. The subscribe_to_spot, subscribe_to_delta, and subscribe_to_alarm handlers in /usr/www/application/models/subscriptions.php process request-controlled subscription input without neutralizing shell metacharacters before command execution. Administrative web access is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the Backend service's privileges on the camera.
