Contributor-level stored XSS via mf-template output
Published Jul 29, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Roxnor MetForm 4.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the mf-template DOM element. The plugin accepts mf-template element content without sufficient input sanitization and renders it without adequate output escaping, causing stored markup to execute when the affected page loads. Contributor-level access or higher is required, and the injected script runs in the browser of any user who visits that page.
