Local command execution via unsanitized plugin build field
Published Sep 3, 2025 · Updated Sep 3, 2025
Command injection in Figma Desktop for Windows 125.6.5 allows local users to execute OS commands through a crafted local plugin manifest. During the local plugin build procedure, main.js passes the manifest.json build string directly to child_process.exec without validation or sanitization. Figma disputes the vulnerability because a user must register and run a local plugin, and Community-distributed plugins do not invoke the required build procedure.
