Authenticated code execution via unchecked file upload
Published Dec 9, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in LeptonCMS 7.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code by uploading a crafted ZIP or PHP file. The affected upload handler does not properly validate dangerous file types, allowing crafted content to reach an executable server context. An authenticated account is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied code in the server application's security context.
