Source code disclosure via unchecked WebSocket origin
Published Feb 12, 2026 · Updated Feb 12, 2026
Information disclosure in Farm @farmfe/core before 1.7.6 allows remote attackers to read source code through the HMR WebSocket. WsServer.isHMRRequest accepts upgrades based only on the /__hmr path and farm_hmr subprotocol, without comparing the Origin header to the configured host and port. Exploitation requires a developer to run the development server, visit an attacker-controlled webpage, and then modify code; the page can connect to localhost:9000 and receive HMR messages containing that code.
