Remote command execution via Chromium argument injection
Published Jan 22, 2026 · Updated Jan 22, 2026
OS command injection in Apryse HTML2PDF SDK 11.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands through InsertFromURL input. InsertFromURL passes the supplied URL to headless Chromium as a command-line argument without enforcing URL syntax, so Chromium flags such as renderer-cmd-prefix are interpreted as options. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled, unsanitized data to this API; commands run with the application's operating-system privileges.
