Unauthenticated interface spoofing via return-to DOM injection
Published Oct 3, 2025 · Updated Oct 3, 2025
UI misrepresentation in DirectAdmin 1.680 and earlier allows remote attackers to replace the visible Evolution login interface. The Evolution login page inserts the return-to query-string value into the visible DOM without sanitization, escaping, or length limits. A GET request requires no authentication; opening a crafted URL can push legitimate fields off-screen and display phishing text, but the flaw does not itself capture credentials.
