Account data exposure via UPI PIN bypass
Published Sep 12, 2025 · Updated Sep 12, 2025
Authentication bypass in Axis Mobile App 9.9 allows attackers with an active banking session to read account data without a UPI PIN. Opening Pay to Contacts and pressing Back exposes balance checks, transaction history, UPI management, and other banking services without completion of the PIN challenge. Exploitation requires an active mobile-banking session; the supplier considers the navigation behavior intentional and disputes the sensitivity of the exposed data.
