Service interruption via arbitrary directory deletion
Published Dec 10, 2025 · Updated Dec 10, 2025
Path traversal in Fearless Geek Media FearlessCMS 0.0.2-15 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server directories. The plugin handler concatenates the submitted plugin_slug value with PLUGIN_DIR without validation, then recursively deletes the resulting path through deleteDirectory. An administrator session is required, and deletion is limited to directories writable by the web-server account, with service interruption or data loss as the bounded consequences.
