Unauthenticated MCP access via unverified SSE connections
Published Sep 10, 2025 · Updated Sep 10, 2025
Missing authentication in Litmus Automation litmus-mcp-server 0.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to access the MCP service over SSE. The SSE transport accepts connections and exposes MCP operations without verifying the caller's identity, while the documented container configuration binds the service to 0.0.0.0. Any network client that can reach port 8000 can connect without credentials, with the published impact limited to confidential data exposure.
