User impersonation via unchecked user_id parameter
Published Sep 30, 2025 · Updated Sep 30, 2025
Authorization bypass in Syaqui Collegetivity 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to create notes as other users via POST requests. The /dashboard/notes handler trusts the request's user_id value and creates or edits records without checking that the signed-in user may act for that identifier. A regular account can substitute another user's email or identifier, causing unauthorized note creation or modification under that user's identity.
