Code execution via unescaped CSV formulas
Published Sep 8, 2025 · Updated Sep 8, 2025
CSV injection in the /id_profiles export of Avigilon Access Control Manager 7.10.0.20 allows remote attackers to plant executable formulas. The export writes user-supplied cell values into CSV output without escaping leading formula characters, so spreadsheet software evaluates them. Execution requires an administrator or employee to open the export in a spreadsheet, where a malicious formula can launch commands, exfiltrate data, or display phishing content.
