Authenticated command execution via module_set POST data
Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025
OS command injection in Ruijie RG-EW1800GX PRO and RG-EW300N firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. In RG-EW1800GX PRO 3.0(1)b11p226, the module_set handler in /usr/local/lua/dev_config/config_retain.lua incorporates attacker-controlled POST data into an OS command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. An authenticated network session is required; RG-EW300N 3.0(1)b11p300 is also affected, and successful exploitation executes commands with device-level impact.
