Authenticated command execution via module_set POST input
Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025
OS command injection in Ruijie RG-EW1200 and RG-EW300 PRO firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary system commands. The module_set handler in /usr/local/lua/dev_config/config_retain.lua passes crafted POST data into an operating-system command without neutralizing command elements. Valid device credentials are required, and successful exploitation grants command execution on the router with confidentiality, integrity, and availability consequences.
