Memory corruption via oversized PPTP user list
Published Jun 4, 2025 · Updated Jun 4, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda AC18 15.03.05.05 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory through a crafted PPTP user list. The formSetPPTPUserList handler processes the list argument for /goform/setPptpUserList without enforcing the destination buffer's size. Low-privilege access to the router's web interface is required, and an overlong value can overwrite adjacent process memory.
