CVE-2025-56008Public exploit

Device takeover via unsanitized nearby SSID rendering

Published Oct 23, 2025 · Updated Oct 23, 2025

Cross-site scripting in the Wireless ISP page in KeeneticOS before 4.3 allows physically proximate attackers to gain device control. The page renders discovered SSID strings as active HTML without sanitization, allowing multiple malicious SSIDs to assemble script that exfiltrates the administrator's session cookie. An administrator must open the page while the attacker's wireless beacons are in range; the stolen session permits password changes or creation of a fully privileged user.
