Remote code execution via oversized HOST argument

A buffer overflow in the HOST command handler in FreeFloat FTP Server 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted FTP request. The handler copies an argument longer than 246 bytes into a fixed-size buffer, allowing the saved return address to be overwritten. The published exploit logs in anonymously before sending the command and runs attacker-supplied x86 code on the Windows server; the same overwrite can crash the service.
