Stored script execution via unescaped progressbarLayout attribute
Published Jul 29, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Appzend 1.2.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the progressbarLayout parameter. The progress-bar block renderer places the attacker-controlled layout value into generated page markup without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to save the crafted page, after which the script executes in the browser of anyone who visits it.
