Stored script execution via unencoded patient name
Published Jun 4, 2025 · Updated Jun 4, 2025
Stored XSS in PHPGurukul Hospital Management System in PHP 4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through patname. The doctor edit-patient.php handler stores the patname POST value in the database without neutralizing script markup, and the patient profile renders it as executable page content. A doctor account must update a patient name, and exploitation occurs when a user later views the affected profile, enabling script execution in that user's browser.
