CVE-2025-55747Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Configuration disclosure via encoded WebJars path traversal

Published Sep 3, 2025 · Updated Sep 3, 2025

Relative path traversal in XWiki Platform 6.1-milestone-2 through 16.10.6 allows remote attackers to read configuration files via WebJars. WebJarsResourceReferenceHandler concatenates a decoded resource name with the WebJars resource prefix and passes it to a class-loader lookup without rejecting traversal segments. No authentication or user interaction is required, and encoded slashes in traversal segments reach files such as WEB-INF/xwiki.cfg.
