Restricted data disclosure via unchecked admin subroutes
Published Aug 19, 2025 · Updated Aug 19, 2025
Missing authorization in Dogukan Urker FlaskBlog 2.8.0 and earlier allows attackers to read restricted admin posts and comments via direct requests. Handlers in routes/adminPanelComments.py and routes/adminPanelPosts.py serve four administrative subroutes without applying the userRole check enforced by routes/adminPanel.py. A non-administrator can directly reach those paths; the documented consequence is data disclosure, with no integrity or availability impact assigned.
