CVE-2025-55706Network attack vector

User redirection via invalid password-reset parameter

Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Aug 20, 2025

Open redirect in Six Apart Movable Type password-reset pages allows remote attackers to reach arbitrary URLs through invalid parameters. The password-reset page accepts an attacker-supplied invalid parameter and uses it as an external redirection destination instead of rejecting it. No authentication is required, but a user must follow the crafted flow; the bounded impact is navigation from the trusted site to an attacker-chosen location.
