Null pointer dereference in Windows DirectX allows remote authenticated users to deny service to Windows 11 24H2 or 25H2 and Windows Server 2025. Microsoft identifies the locus only as Windows DirectX and does not disclose which graphics-kernel routine or untrusted input reaches the invalid dereference. Low-privileged network access is required and no user interaction is needed; the vendor does not state whether the interruption is a crash, hang, or reboot.
