Local privilege escalation via use-after-free
Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025
Use-after-free in Microsoft Windows PrintWorkflowUserSvc allows local users with low privileges to elevate privileges on affected systems. Microsoft identifies the service and memory-lifetime error but has not published the vulnerable function, object, or sequence that frees and later reuses the allocation. Exploitation requires local low-privilege access and high-complexity conditions; success grants elevated control over the operating system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
