CVE-2025-55674Network attack vector

Database information disclosure via inline-block denylist bypass

Published Aug 14, 2025 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

SQL injection in Apache Superset before 5.0.0 allows remote authenticated users with SQL Lab access to disclose database information. The SQL parser's DISALLOWED_SQL_FUNCTIONS check fails to recognize blocked functions placed inside a special inline block, so the database executes them. SQL Lab access and a configured database connection are required; the demonstrated consequence is reading metadata such as the database software version.
