CVE-2025-55650Public exploit

Process crash via SVG node use-after-free

Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026

Heap use-after-free in the MPEG-4 LASeR/SVG scene path in GPAC MP4Box 2.4 allows local users to crash the process via a crafted MP4 file. During teardown, gf_svg_node_del frees an SVG node created by gf_svg_create_node, and scene-graph reset reaches the freed allocation again through gf_node_unregister and gf_svg_node_del. Exploitation requires a user or workflow to process attacker-controlled input with the -svg option; the demonstrated consequence is a reproducible segmentation fault, not code execution.
