CVE-2025-55647Public exploit

Application crash via overflowing PSSH size calculation

Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026

Integer overflow in GPAC MP4Box 2.4 allows attackers to crash the application by supplying a crafted MP4 file during DASH segmentation. The mp4_mux_cenc_insert_pssh function trusts attacker-controlled kid_count and dataSize values in PSSH metadata when calculating a realloc size, producing an enormous allocation request. Processing the file with the DASH segmentation path requires user interaction and exhausts memory; no authentication or special privileges are required.
