Application crash via malformed SAI metadata
Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in GPAC MP4Box 2.4 allows attackers to crash the application by importing a crafted MP4 file. gf_isom_copy_sample_info reads through a NULL pointer after SAI merge handling fails on an invalid sai_samples count in corrupted Sample Auxiliary Information metadata. Exploitation requires MP4Box to process the file during a track import operation, terminating that process without reported data disclosure or modification.
