Process crash via null track-kind duplication
Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in GPAC MP4Box 2.4 allows attackers to crash the process by importing a crafted MPEG-H Audio MP4 file. gf_isom_add_track_kind passes a null kind value derived during MPEG-H track import to strdup without first rejecting it, causing a zero-page read and segmentation fault. The crash requires MP4Box to import the malicious file; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
