Unauthenticated service interruption via unrestricted RTMP pushes
Published Aug 22, 2025 · Updated Aug 22, 2025
Incorrect access control in Reolink Smart 2K+ Doorbell firmware 3.0.0.4662_2503122283 allows remote attackers to interrupt service. The RTMP publishing path accepts numerous simultaneous unauthenticated ffmpeg stream pushes without enforcing access control or limiting resource consumption. Sustaining many concurrent pushes exhausts device resources; public evidence does not distinguish whether the resulting interruption is a hang, crash, or reboot.
