CVE-2025-55629Network attack vector

Unauthenticated password reset via userName manipulation

Published Aug 22, 2025 · Updated Aug 22, 2025

Insecure permissions in Reolink Smart 2K+ Wi-Fi Video Doorbell firmware 3.0.0.4662_2503122283 allow remote attackers to reset passwords. The password-change operation trusts the request's userName value and updates the named user's password without enforcing account ownership. No credentials or user interaction are required; the replacement password denies the legitimate user access to that account.
