Script execution via unsanitized QR-code evaluation
Published Aug 22, 2025 · Updated Aug 22, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Reolink App 4.54.0.4.20250526 allows attackers to execute arbitrary script or HTML through a crafted QR code. The valuateJavascript() function evaluates QR-code content without neutralizing an embedded script or HTML payload before rendering it. A victim must scan the crafted code, after which the payload executes in the application's rendered-content context without a reported availability impact.
