Persistent router crash via unbounded stack copy
Published Aug 22, 2025 · Updated Aug 22, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda O3V2 1.0.0.12(3880) allows remote attackers to crash the router via a crafted mac parameter. The fromSafeSetMacFilter function copies the unbounded mac value into a stack local, overwriting the return address. The published request includes an administrator session cookie and demonstrates a persistent service crash; unauthenticated reachability is not demonstrated.
