Service crash via unchecked serverName stack copy
Published Aug 22, 2025 · Updated Aug 22, 2025
Stack buffer overflow in Tenda AX3 16.03.12.10_CN allows remote attackers to crash the router through a crafted serverName parameter. The AdvSetMacMtuWan HTTP handler copies the unbounded value into a stack local and overwrites the function return address. Network access to the management web interface is required; the public request demonstrates persistent service loss, not code execution.
