Session theft via URL-fragment eval injection

Published Aug 18, 2025 · Updated Aug 18, 2025

Eval injection in TOTOLINK A3002R firmware 4.0.0-B20230531.1404 allows remote attackers to execute browser script via crafted URL fragments. The management pages split the top-level URL at the fragment marker and pass the fragment to eval(), letting script on title.htm and six other pages read the hidden sessionCheck value. The payload runs when an affected management page opens the crafted fragment, exposing its session identifier within the browser context.
