Improper privilege management in D-Link DCS-825L firmware 1.08.01 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code as root via physical access. The /mydlink/mydlink-watch-dog.sh script repeatedly launches dcp and signalc from world-writable paths without checking their integrity, origin, ownership, or permissions. Filesystem modification through physical or debug-interface access is required, and a replacement binary persists across reboots and factory resets.
