Browser script execution via imported Playground conversation
Published Aug 22, 2025 · Updated Aug 22, 2025
Cross-site scripting in QuantumNous new-api 0.8.5.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in another user's browser. The Console Playground's Show Debug view renders crafted conversation content as executable markup instead of neutralizing it, while exported files preserve the payload. Execution requires a user, including an administrator, to import the crafted conversation and enable Show Debug; the script then runs in that user's browser context.
