CVE-2025-55558Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service interruption via overlapping Inductor temporary buffers

Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 25, 2025

Buffer overflow in PyTorch 2.7.0 CPU Inductor allows remote attackers to interrupt model compilation with a crafted operator sequence. During vectorized parallel reduction, C++ code generation allocates overlapping tmp_acc_array temporary buffers for the scalar tail kernel and the parallel reduction. The flaw is reached only when CPU Inductor compiles a model combining Conv2d, hardshrink, view, and torch.mv, and the resulting C++ compile failure interrupts the compilation service.
