Stack memory corruption via unchecked ntpServer copy
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Aug 20, 2025
Stack buffer overflow in Tenda AC6 firmware 15.03.06.23_multi allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted ntpServer value. The fromSetSysTime handler passes the POST parameter to strcpy without bounding it to the destination stack buffer. The published proof of concept sends the request to /goform/SetSysTimeCfg with a password cookie; no specific post-corruption outcome is demonstrated.
