Unauthenticated service crash via time parameter overflow
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Aug 20, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC6 firmware 15.03.06.23_multi allows remote attackers to crash the router via a crafted time value. The fromSetSysTime handler processes the oversized POST body time parameter with sscanf, overflowing a stack buffer. The public proof of concept includes a password cookie, but CISA assesses the endpoint as requiring no privileges; the reported consequence is service interruption.
