Credential disclosure via plaintext external-storage logs
Published Aug 26, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Cleartext storage in Telpo MDM 1.4.6 through 1.4.9 for Android allows attackers to obtain administrator and MQTT credentials from logs. The Android client writes administrator credentials and MQTT server IP and port details without encryption to log files on device external storage. Access to those logs enables MDM web-platform authentication for shutdown, factory-reset, and software-installation operations or MQTT access to intercept and publish device data.
