CVE-2025-55326Network attack vector

Remote code execution via use-after-free

Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025

Use-after-free in Microsoft Windows Connected Devices Platform Service allows remote attackers to execute code through network requests. Microsoft identifies Cdpsvc as the affected locus but has not published which object is freed prematurely, what request reuses it, or the triggering sequence. Exploitation requires no privileges but does require user interaction and high-complexity conditions; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code.
